Homestyle White Rolls

White Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 packets of yeast
  • 5 cups (1250ml) Atlantic Bakers Bread & Roll Mix
  • 1 2/3 cups (400ml) warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, pour in the warm (not hot) water. Sprinkle the yeast from the enclosed packets over the water. Let it stand for 5 minutes, then stir gently.
  2. Gradually stir in half of the bread mix until moist and smooth. Beat the mixture well for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the remaining bread mix gradually, stirring until it forms a soft dough that leaves the sides of the bowl. Turn the dough out onto a floured board (using the remaining bread mix to flour the board) and knead until it forms a smooth ball and is no longer sticky, approximately 8 minutes. Use only enough flour to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to grease the top of the dough. Cover it with wax paper and a damp tea towel. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30-45 minutes.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into rolls. Cover and let them rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until done.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy these scrumptious dinner rolls!
